Self-care is not selfish! It is identifying your needs!




Taking care of yourself is not just about taking a break. It is not selfish or luxury.


Self-care is about becoming skilled at identifying your needs!


It is about becoming an expert on your body, mind, and spirit. To notice not only your long-term needs but also your immediate needs. It is having the skills to adjust, change and invite what you need.


Cultivating a beneficial self-care practice includes not only the food you eat and the house you live in.

It means being kind to yourself. Having loving thoughts and words towards yourself. Supporting yourself in the best possible way. In a way you deserve it!


To have a thriving self-care practice you just need to:

  • Considering yourself a worthwhile person

  • Knowing and feeling that you deserve it


Ask yourself:

  • What are your beliefs around Self-care?

  • How much time do you think you deserve every day for yourself?


It is very tempting to look for quick fixes from the external. But quick fixes aren’t sustainable.

I have leaned into that belief myself for many years.


Self-care is the opposite. It connects you with your intuition and you supply yourself with what you need in each moment.
