Menopause Reimagined:

Updated: 3 days ago

Menopause isn’t the end of vitality — it’s a powerful new beginning.

For me, stepping into perimenopause meant not only facing challenges but also discovering the choice I have in how I want to live this stage of my life. With acceptance, care, and honesty, this transition can become a wake-up call — a chance to prioritize health, embrace change, and rise into a stronger, more confident self.

My Journey Into Advocacy

It has truly been a process to feel comfortable speaking openly about my perimenopause — and even more, to step into the role of a menopause advocate. Honestly, I often still feel like I’m twenty. It wasn’t easy to be truthful with myself and say:

“Yes Jenny, you’re no longer the youngest one in the room — you’ve joined the midlife club.”

We can:

  • Resist and deny it

  • Feel sad or unfairly treated by life

  • Or make peace and feel grateful for the privilege of growing older

What matters most is this: I have a choice. I can influence how I want to experience this stage of life.

Caring for Yourself in a New Chapter

The moment I noticed the first changes, I decided to take conscious care of my physical, mental, and emotional well-being. Even if you’ve always prioritized self-care, perimenopause brings new needs:

  • Physical: energy levels, strength, flexibility

  • Emotional: mood, resilience, stress management

  • Nutrition: supporting hormonal balance

  • Self-care & beauty: practices that nourish body and soul

These changes don’t happen overnight but unfold gradually — more strongly for some, more gently for others.

Acceptance Is the Key

At the heart of it all is acceptance: recognizing that you are entering a natural and significant life phase. Unlike our mothers and grandmothers, we can speak openly, seek support, and feel empowered.

Menopause can be a wake-up call — a chance to:

  • Prioritize your health and well-being

  • Truly know yourself

  • Claim what you desire

  • Build a strong foundation for lasting vitality
